The Hornets made it back to the playoffs and again were beaten by the Heat. This time after squandering a three games to two lead. The Hornets should build off the fact that they were one game away from winning a playoff series for the first time in over a decade, and the fact that they were one of the best teams in all of the NBA after the All-Star break.
Free Agents: Troy Daniels (RFA) Jorge Gutierrez (RFA) Nicolas Batum (UFA) Tyler Hansbrough (UFA) Al Jefferson (UFA) Courtney Lee (UFA) Jeremy Lin (UFA) Marvin Williams (UFA)

The Hornets have made it clear that re-signing Batum is their top priority. They would also like to bring back Jefferson, Lin, Lee and Williams and keep the core of players that won them 48 games last year. However, all of them coming back seems unlikely.

Dwight Howard - Charlotte needs a center they don’t have enough size. Howard would likely get the touches he’s been calling for for the past couple of years.
Hassan Whiteside - It’s unlikely he signs here, but he could get this team to another level.
