Can Thompson Help the Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors acquired Jason Thompson from the Philadelphia 76ers for forward Gerald Wallace.
Can the veteran power forward blossom and become a valuable asset for the Warriors this season? Thompson is expected to be the backup power forward behind Draymond Green on a very deep Warriors team.
Thompson has already been traded twice this offseason, once from the Sacramento Kings where he played last season. Then a second time from the Sixers, but this time around, he has found himself a nice landing spot with the defending world champion Warriors.
I expect Thompson to fit in nicely with the Warriors, he has the potential to provide this team with a spark off the bench. The Warriors like to run a lot of pick and roll offense, this should benefit Thompson's game, look for Thompson to set a lot of screens for Curry and Barbosa at the top of the key.
Thompson has always been regarded as an offensive minded player, so he won't provide the Warriors with much defensively, but he should fit in very well with their up tempo offense.
The 29 year old veteran has yet to live up to his draft potential but he should give the Warriors solid production this season. Thompson should see about 10 to 20 minutes a game, at both the four and five.
Thompson is excited about his opportunity joining the Warriors. "To come to an organization that has and coming off a championship, that's great for myself," said Thompson.
