Here are a few players, we believe are worth targeting tonight.
Reggie Jackson- He still is at a decent price and has proven he can put up points when starting. This is also the kind of matchup I think he would have marked on the calendar, against a star point guard, like Wall. I expect Jackson to bring it and try to prove he can matchup with the top guards. It also helps Washington has been giving up 40 fantasy points to point guards in their last 5 games.
Deron WIlliams- Even with Jack back,it seems like Williams will get plenty of playing time. He also is from Dallas so there is a little extra incentive tonight, plus defending point guards has been an issue all season for the Mavs.
Eric Bledsoe- Bledsoe is playing great since the break and is averaging 40 fantasy points a game in his last 5. Not to mention in the Spurs last five games they have given up 42 fantasy points a game to shooting guards and 47 to point guards. So it seems, Bledsoe should have a nice night.
Brandon Knight- See Bledsoe
Markel Brown- Brown is a rookie on the Nets, who has seen his playing time take a huge jump since the All-Star break. I don’t think he is going to light it up, but he does a nice job of filling the stat sheet and at a nice price. So if you need a close to minimum guy, he is a good choice.
Kawhi Leonard- Coming off of back-back 36+ fantasy point performances, I expect Leonard to continue that trend.and have another good game tonight. The fast paced style of the Suns, should allow Leonard to play to his strengths and use his length and athleticism.
Luol Deng- Deng has scored over 30 fantasy points in 4 out of his last f5 games. It seems pretty apparent that he is picking up some of the slack left by the Bosh injury. He also hasn’t minded having Dragic around to find him for open looks.
Greg Monroe- Monroe has been a tear of late and has a great matchup tonight against Washington, who has given up 47 fantasy points a game to power forwards over their last 5.
Derrick Favors- Favors has benefited from the Kanter trade, grabbing more minutes and taking advantage. Favors might not have the best matchup, but still should be fine tonight.
Jonas Valanciunas- The Knicks give up 46 fantasy points a game to centers and Valanciunas’s size will be an issue for the Knicks. The only worrisome thing would be the Raptors exploiting other matchups.
Rudy Gobert- See Favors
Marcin Gortat- Dealing with Detroit’s size expect to see a lot of Gortat. It also helps the Pistons have been terrible against centers. They have given up 55 fantasy point a game in their last 5.
